The Importance of Being Earnest

August 9, 10, 11 at THE EMPRESS.  (8/9 and 8/10 at 7:30 PM.  8/11 at 2:00 PM)

You will LOVE our talented teens in Oscar Wilde’s  comedy of manners, widely considered one of the funniest plays ever written!  A tale of misunderstanding, mistaken identity and downright absurdity, this production features young players 14 to 20 years old.  Directed by TWO Education Coordinator Thad Mayhugh, we can tell you IN EARNEST this show will make for a WILDE evening of theatre!

Tickets are $12.00 for adults, $9.00 for students.  There will be a $2.00 surcharge on all tickets purchased at the door.

 

Sense and Sensibility

Sept. 6-15 at THE EMPRESS.  Sept. 6, 7, 13, 14 at 7:30 PM.  Sundays, Sept. 8, 15 at 2:00 PM.

Jane Austen’s classic romance follows the Dashwood sisters as they find love and heartbreak after losing their home to their half brother.  Lisa Mingus-Tullis directs this time-honored favorite!

King Lear

KWC’s Nate Gross directs one of Shakespeare’s greatest tragedies, the story of the British monarch’s descent into madness as his daughters take control of the kingdom.  A collaborative production of TWO and OWENSBORO THEATRE ALLIANCE, this magnificent drama brings together some of Owensboro’s best talent in one of history’s greatest plays!

Escanaba in Da Moonlight

Actor Jeff Daniels’ wacky story of Michigan’s Soady family, and their surprise filled deer hunting trip has gained fame as a movie and a Broadway play.  TWO is excited to bring the comedy to local audiences!

Sons of the Prophet

Comedy-drama about a Lebanese-American family adjusting to the death of their father, this hit from 2011 won multiple prestigious awards.  Two brothers must care for an aging uncle as well as themselves, as they enter the work force and the world of human relations.

 

Something’s Afoot

A musical by James McDonald, David Vos, and Robert Gerlach, with additional music by Ed Linderman.

April 17-26 at THE EMPRESS.  Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 PM.  Sunday matinees at 2:00 PM.

A musical spoof of British mystery stories, especially Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None!  The play involves a group of people who are invited to the lake estate of Lord Dudley Rancour. When the wealthy lord is found dead, it’s a race against the clock to find out whodunnit.

Laughs galore and catchy music have made this musical comedy a hit with audiences the world over.
