The Penguin Project is an international program that supports development for children with special needs through theater. On January 13-15, 2023, Theatre Workshop of Owensboro will host our first Penguin Project production of Annie the Musical Jr. at the RiverPark Center. The show is presented by our friends in the Kiwanis Club of Owensboro.
To get started, we will need children age 10-21 with special needs and/or developmental disabilities that will be our performers. We also need children age 10-21 willing and able to take this journey with us and serve as peer mentors.
On Tuesday, 8/23, we will hold an information session for prospective performers, mentors, and their families to learn more about this program and begin preparing for participation.
